Music Video
The stretched effect, featured in over 100 shots of this Lily Allen music video, was achieved by filming twins on set.
As MGFX Lead, I directed a team of four Cinema 4D artists to create the graphics for 22 of the more complex camera moves.
A spline was drawn to approximate the profile of one twin, then duplicated and aligned with the second twin.
Using Photoshop, a texture was generated from a single line of pixels and mapped onto an extrusion connecting the two profiles.
In certain shots, the splines were animated over time to ensure the colorful extrusions remained perfectly aligned with each twin.
